Ira believes that in business it is possible to “do well” and “do good”, which is why he is so excited to be at Kindara serving women in their quest to optimize health. Over 20 years ago, Ira recalls the frustration and angst he and his wife felt trying to conceive their first child. Like many of you, they dutifully charted his wife’s cycle (with an old fashioned mercury thermometer), and ultimately had their daughter with some intervention via IUI. Ira is delighted to say they added a son two years later.
Ira has been fortunate to be part of amazing businesses in his career, stewarding storied brands like Stride Rite, Babies R Us, and Playskool to name a few. The lessons he has learned professionally and personally have Ira well prepared to lead Kindara and provide the products and information women need to reach their healthcare goals.
Growing up in New York City, Ira will always be a New York Kid at heart. When he has some free time, Ira is an avid golfer, and a lifelong NY Jets Fan (which is his curse for also being a NY Yankee fan).
Malte joined Kindara because he is a feminist who believes in the importance of women’s health. He brings 19 years of executive-level experience and understanding of the varied stages of a company: from leading a small start up, going through an acquisition, to leading engineering teams 500 plus. As a co-founder of Expertcity (now Citrix), Malte was the visionary and the coding superhero behind the popular GoToMyPC, GoToMeeting, and GoToWebinar products that revolutionized the Software as a Service (SaaS) marketplace.
Malte embraces the life of the mind, pushes the edges of human physical potential, and is dedicated to being a fully engaged in everything he does. Like a world class athlete, Malte is devoted to peak performance, and the landscape of his life reflects this commitment.
As an active and engaged father of four children, Malte balances his time between working hard and playing hard. In his free time he loves to shred a mountain on his road bike, speed across the water on hydrofoils and hiking around Boulder.
As a doctor of psychology, Raychel is dedicated to advancing mental health and human development to benefit society. She brings years of experience with scientific research, academic publishing, university-level teaching combined with a strong business track record of building teams and leading software development. Raychel’s no-nonsense get-things-done attitude is delightfully balanced by her tireless sense of humor, inimitable warmth, positive outlook and creativity. A member of the original team at Expertcity (now Citrix), Raychel was the project manager that brought GoToMyPC to the marketplace.
A proud mother of four, Raychel knows a thing or two about both the challenges of conceiving as well as the challenges of avoiding conception. She cares deeply about women’s health and wellbeing and is thrilled to put her passion into action as an executive at Kindara. Raychel believes that education is the foundation for good decision making, she, therefore, works tirelessly to create tools and scientifically-based information so that every woman can make the best decisions for themselves.
When not at Kindara, you can find Raychel reading scientific journals, watching Dr. Who, and generally engaged in all things geeky. As a new Boulder local, she is slowly learning to love the active lifestyle.
I am endlessly curious about the world in which we live. I read The New York Times every day and I always have a long list of books waiting to be enjoyed. They’re mostly historical fiction with the occasional biography thrown in for color. I love mornings, beets, coffee and slippers.
My career path has taken me from advertising to nutrition to business. I love problem solving and finding ways to make things work more efficiently. Kindara’s mission to empower people with knowledge is a perfect match for my love of providing and sharing information.
I grew up on a sheep farm in New Jersey, spent seven years in Manhattan and moved to Colorado in 2006 a week after running my first Bolder Boulder. If I'm not working or reading I'm probably swimming, hiking, cooking or renovating the 100+ year-old house my husband and I recently bought.
I enjoy helping people and believe empathy and compassion should lie at the heart of everything we do. Joining Kindara has opened my eyes to the fertility awareness method and I feel humbled by how little I knew about the way my own body works. I am so excited to serve Kindara’s customers and to help make a positive impact on the lives of our users.
I grew up in Honolulu, Hawaii and started my career as a corporate accountant for large development and insurance companies. About 10 years in, I made a deliberate switch to the renewable energy industry because I desired to work in an industry that I believed was making a difference in the world. I ran operations for one of Hawaii's largest solar companies and most recently, I worked with a Denver based startup called Autowatts to create a platform to sell solar with electric cars.
I am passionate about living a healthy, positive lifestyle. I love hiking, writing, camping, cooking, and am slightly obsessed with board games.
We are always on the lookout for the best and brightest. If you have a passion for Women’s health and believe you can be a contributor to a hard working, dedicated startup team. Please send your email to jobs@kindara.com
It's probably your dream job*.
